Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!! I shall be busy tomorrow, as I expect most will be, so thought I'd say it now. I'm back on the 27th, blogging shall start again then :) I'm typing this on my phone, it isn't easy!!
Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow, get what you wish, spend time with loved ones and eat loaaaaaads - I know I will!!

Catch up.

So as I said Friday evening, I can get back onto my blog after techinal problems for the last 3 months, and I thought I'd catch my readers up on what I've been in my first term of Uni.

Well, I've not quit yet! I've managed to get through my first term relatively easily and passed my first 4 unit assignments with B's and C's - which I'm pretty impressed with considering I left everything to the last minute - and by last minute, I mean finishing a presentation 10 minutes before I was due to present it - but then I decided that's what the first year of Uni is about, falling asleep halfway through a lecture because of a hangover is normal!
I still can't cook, which is exasperating my mother completely; pasta is my saviour! To those who couldn't cook when they moved into Halls, how long did it take you?
I also managed to find a guy silly enough to put with me, which is fun!
I have one piece of advice too for anyone going to Uni next year, keep to your budget! Otherwise you'll end up running to the bank for an overdraft because you've spent that month's rent on new dresses...whoops! (They are beautiful dresses though, and you shall see them soon enough :)
Oh, and I lost 17lbs, wahoo!

So, how have you all been? To those who have also just started University, how are you finding it? Do you enjoy it? Is the course what you expected?

Friday, 16 December 2011

Hello again!

It feels quite weird writing this, as I have been away for so long, but I am back! I didn't mean to take so long off, and it wasn't all my fault!
As some of you may know, I started Uni at the end of September, so I have been busy with my first term obviously, getting to know everyone and getting used to living on my own without my parents!
Anyway, I went to log into my blog sometime in October, but found I couldn't as it didn't like me having two Google accounts (the other being my Uni email,) but it somehow worked when  I tried earlier, so although I have no idea how long I'll be able to get on this, I shall make the most of it!

I'll do a proper catch up post tomorrow, but thought I'd just say hello! I've not been able to read/comment on other people's blogs when I've been away either, so I plan on spending the evening curled up reading through them!

Friday, 23 September 2011

Bye for now.

I move into my Halls of Residence for my first year of University tomorrow, and I don't know how long it'll be before I can get back into blogging properly, so instead of doing half-hearted posts I thought I'd take a break. It won't be for long, but I imagine I'll be very busy for the first week. And I'm not sure when my internet connection will be up and stuff.
I'm very, very nervous, and it doesn't quite feel real yet!

Back soon xxx

My over-sized nail polish collection.

I've mentioned many times about my mahoosive nail collection, but never actually showed you all. So, here we are! Warning, picture heavy post! By the way, I'm not naming them all, I'm very tired and it'd take too long!

Burgundys/dark reds:

Pinky oranges:

So there you go. There's about 50 there, I didn't quite count them all though! I started wearing nail polish properly about 3/4 years ago, and now I always wear it! Although I haven't this past week, to give my poor nails a breather!
As you can see, I love Barry M, they have a real collection colours. I have almost every colour that Barry M do. I like Model's Own too, I want to build my collection of their stuff :)
So, what's your favourite? I can't choose mine! I have to divide them up and take some away to Uni with me, I have no idea which to choose!
I store them in two clear, purple plastic boxes, although both are full to bursting!

I'm painting my nails tomorrow, and I've decided to let you choose the colour! Which colour shall I paint them?

Weekend Wishlist

Weekend Wishlist

I love those tights, the line down them is very classic, and the bows at the bottom are so cute! Did you know that in WW1/2, women would draw black lines like that down the back of their legs to give the illusion of wearing tights, when in fact, they weren't at all, because they were far too expensive!

I don't need another shirt, but I like shirts. And I like black. It's pretty, and sheer.

The maxi trend is a trend I probably won't jump on, not because I dislike them, I love them, but I'm 5'3 and large, I'd probably look like I was wearing a tent. That's not a look even GaGa would venture into.

Look. At. Those. Shoes. Need I say more? I don't wear heels, and I can't afford them anyway, BUT THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL. AND SPIKY. Gorgeous.

Well you all know of my love affair with burgundy, and this oversized clutch is very trendy, and pretty. Very pretty.

It would seem I have taken a bit of a colour theme for my wishlist once again. I didn't mean to! I just like black. What's on your wishlist this weekend?

Anyway, it's 2am, so I'm going to go to bed. The songs for the new (season premiere) episode of Glee were released today, and I've been listening to them all day, I'm ridiculously excited, they're all fantastic. If you want to listen to them, I've tagged them all here on my personal tumblr.
Do you watch Glee? Are you excited? It's so close!!!

Review: Barry M's 'Touch of Magic' Lip Paint

When it occurred to me that I hadn't yet reviewed this lipstick on my blog I was pretty surprised. I'm sure almost all of you have either used it or heard of it. It's my favourite lipstick, I love it very much.

Although called a lipstick, I would call it more of a lip stain, as I find it lasts a lot longer than most lipsticks.

Yes, this lipstick is green. I know what some of you might be thinking: "Green lipstick? Why, why, why would you do that?" I have not turned back into a Goth, I shall not be revisiting pink eyeliner either - but more on that another day. It does not stay green. And this is where the science comes in - also known as possibly my favourite bit. ...Considering I'm pursuing a career in English, I do love my science. I digress.
Touch of Magic lipstick works by changing colour depending on the alkaline level in your lips. If you have a high alkaline level, it will be brighter, a low alkaline level, paler. Because of it changing on each person, I believe it is a lipstick that suits virtually everyone.

My lips before:

And after:

As you can see, it goes a gorgeous, bright shade of pink. Although it is a bit brighter in real life than the camera shows. You need to apply a few coats to get a real deep colour I find, but if you just want a more subtle pink tint, one coat will suit fine.
As I mentioned earlier, it lasts a long time, and although you will have to reapply throughout a day/evening, you won't have to do so very often. It doesn't bleed or crack either, bonus. It's waterproof, and contains aloe vera, so it doesn't dry out your lips - a problem I usually suffer from.
Now you'd think that it might change colour slightly when you reapply throughout the day - if you had been eating something particularly acidic for example, but it doesn't. It seems the pH of your lips stays virtually the same regardless. Although I imagine that if you rub lemons over your lips and THEN apply, you will see a difference. I don't recommend doing that.

I also swatched my arm: (Why do we do this? Possibly not the best idea.)

This is to show you the difference between the colours. Lips have higher alkaline levels than arms apparently, hence the difference in colour.

I've almost run out my current stick of this, but I shall certainly be buying some more when I run out! You can buy Barry M's Touch of Magic Lip Paint from Boots, Superdrug or the Barry M website, RRP: £4.49

Have you used this lipstick? What did you think?

Also, this is my 100th post! Wahoo!

Weekend Wishlist: Burgundy

It seems I have begun a love affair with the colour burgundy. I have always referred it to as one of my favourite colours, but I've only just bought a burgundy piece of clothing, the beautiful dress I blogged about in my last post. So I thought I would theme this week's Weekend Wishlist with only burgundy pieces, plus, burgundy is a very good colour for A/W, even better! I plan on spending my A/W curled up in cosy knits, the bag is perfect, and although I would probably never wear those shorts, I still want them. I already have 3 sheer shirts, but you can never have too many, right? I know, the shoes are entirely unsensible (is that a word?) for A/W, but I don't care, they're beautiful, and I love them.
What colour are you loving at the moment?

Week in Photos.

  • I felt sick after scoffing the big bar of Galaxy Cookie Crumble, but it was worth it!
  • This is the new dress I queried about here, as I said yesterday, it was a pretty much unanimous decision for the red, and I love it completely. I won't say too much as I'll do a post about it for Monday!
  • The two books I read last week. 'Notes on a Scandal' and Jodi Picoult's 'Plain Truth'. I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan, and this book didn't disappoint. And Notes on a Scandal is brilliant. After seeing the film advertised I knew I wanted to read the book, I'm glad I did! I plan on watching the film soon. If anyone has read either book (or seen Notes on a Scandal) I'd be interested to hear your opinion!
  • I know I didn't say much about where I was going last week, it wasn't too exciting, just going down to Buckinghamshire to see my family for a few days. We didn't tell my dad anything about it, it's safe to say he was happily surprised when he saw me, which I hoped he would be!
  • I've become obsessed with the musical 'RENT'. I'm a big musical fan anyway, and was recommended this, and it's brilliant.
  • I've become obsessed with solitaire on my ipod, is that sad? Silly question, I know it's sad, but I can't stop playing it!
I spent the majority of the week putting off sorting out my room, not only am I leaving for Uni in 3 weeks, but I'll also be moving house too, so I've got to sort allllllllllll my stuff out, blerugh!
Also, I don't know what the hell happened to those pictures, I know they're blurry, they weren't like that when I uploaded them. Grphm.

Navy or Red? Help needed!

I'm in a quandry, and I need your advice. There's a dress I really want, but I don't know whether to get it in navy, or dark red. I love both colours, and the dress is the same price regardless of colour.
Which one should I get??

Navy or red?

Mid-Week Wishlist

01. How gorgeous is this jumper? I could just imagine wearing it when it's getting colder, I love an oversized knit...
02. I'm a big fan of red, it's very flattering, and once again, oversized. Brilliant.
03. I seem to have a theme going here don't I? You can tell the weather is turning, it's been bloody freezing! I love this aran jumper.
04. I went into River Island the other day and tried on a load of their hats, to see which one suited me the most, and this type suited me the most. They're so warm, so I'll definitely be getting one soon!
05. I've wanted a pair of DM's for years, and haven't managed to get a pair, but this year, I am determined to get some.

PS Sorry for being MIA this week, I know I said I'd queue a post or two for when I was away, but I ended up running late to get my train so I couldn't! What made it worse was that I got to the train station to find my train had been cancelled, and I had to wait an hour for the next one. Ridiculous. I had fun whilst I was away though, it's nice to spend time with family!
Anyway, I'm currently watching RENT, so I'ma go finish it, and cry at a certain point (those who've seen it, you know what I'm on about it!) Talking of which, if you have seen it, what did you think?

Friday, 19 August 2011

So it's the day after A Level results, and I am very, very thankful that I am not hungover. I managed to not drink a lot last night as I was up pretty early this morning, and I also discovered that it's actually pretty funny to be sober on a night out, I've never appreciated just how fun it is to watch drunk people topple about and fall over, often because of the 6 inch heels they're wearing!

I've not blogged much this week, as I've had such a busy week, what with results etc etc. I'm now appreciating just how close Uni is now, so scary!

Oh and also, I don't know if you can see it much in that picture, but I've cup my lip open! In the light, it looks like I've been punched! Which I haven't incidentally! Basically, I turned over in bed, was a lot closer to the edge of my bed and subsequently to my bedside table, and as I turned off, smacked my lip on the bedside table. Not. Fun!

I've been trying so hard not to shop at the moment, I know I need to save money, but there are so many lovely things around at the moment!

A Level Results

Just a quick post.
How did you all do??? I hope you all got what you needed :)

Unfortunately I was 8 marks off what I needed for my firm (first choice) university, but I got into my insurance (second choice) so not too bad. Although I'm now VERY confused as to what to do about accomodation and student finance.... :/

Week in Photos.

 01. In May, I won a giveaway on Tumblr for a set of charm bracelets - I mentioned it here - and I put on the second bracelet yesterday. I love them, they're so cute! And I have a thing for peace signs, I plan on getting one tattooed on my ankle (when I can man up and book the appointment!)
02. If you follow me on Twitter, you may be aware that I've started reading Wuthering Heights. I've been reading it for just over a week now, and I'm only 115 pages into it - I've usually finished books by now - and I have to say, it's bloody difficult for me, and so far, I'm not enjoying it too much. I shall persevere, because I hate giving up on books, I just hope I enjoy a little more soon! Have you read it? If so, what did you think?
03. This week I painted my nails with Barry M's Dusky Mauve, a colour I love. The flash was on, so it doesn't show the true colour of it, but in reality it's more grey, shining purple in the light.
04. I've become a bit obsessed with Scrabble lately. I bought my mum it for her birthday because she said she wanted to get back into playing, and I really enjoy it. Out of the past 4 games with her, I've won 3, which is good, considering how long she's been playing it! Does anyone else like Scrabble, or am I weird?

What have you been enjoying this week?

David Gray & Annie Lennox - Full Steam
I'm a big fan of both David Gray and Annie Lennox, and after discovering this song last week I have become obsessed with it! It has already double the plays of my most played song on iTunes! What song are you loving this week?

Friday links & O, curly hair

Body Shop Super Volume Mascara, Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Eyeliner (as per always!) and Barry M Touch of Magic Lipstick.
I should start wearing different make-up, this is pretty much what I always wear!

There was once a time when I longed for my hair to be curly and wavy. I would using curling tongs, hair straightners as curling tongs, mousse, any product I could get my hands on for the curl I longed for. It didn't work. Mousse made my hair dry, and curls always fell out within five minutes. So I gave up, and got over my want for curls, and instead tried to love my naturally poker straight hair.
But something has changed. As my hair has got longer again, perhaps I have got lazier, but I find myself piling my hair up in buns whenever I'm indoors. You don't see this so much, as I almost always have my hair down when I go out, but then when I'm indoors, boom, it's up and out of my face minutes after shutting the door. This creates a problem. Do you see my hair in the picture? It's slightly wild, isn't it? Not quite curly, or wavy, more of a frizzy mess. THAT is what I have to work with nowadays. No matter how straight my hair is, as soon as I have my hair up for more than an hour, I take it out and BOOM. This is the outcome. At first I was pretty happy, I wanted volumised hair, and I certainly got it. But now it's just annoying. I can't work with that! The only thing that tames it is washing my hair - which I don't do every single day, because I was taught that too much hair washing strips your hair of its natural oils - has anyone else been taught that?
Anyway, I've digressed majorly. I guess hair is one of those things I'll never be fully happy with. I've spent the past 5 years yearning for every hair colour under the sun and wanting both very long and very short hair, so I've accepted the fact that if my hair is poker straight, I'll dislike it. And if it's volumised, I'll dislike it. I don't look in the mirror enough to really care, so I shall not think about it any further.
Do you feel the same about your hair, or are you generally content with it?

Anyway, I've got a few posts that I enjoyed this week that I shall share with you:
Emma shows us how to do newspaper nails, Hannah rocks the monochrome look, Sarah shows us how to wear skinny jeans to suit our body shape, Jennie shares a beautiful charm bracelet/necklace that she's found and A Thrifty Mrs tells us of some brilliant cleaning uses for Bicarbonate of Soda - one of these things that I knew was good for cleaning, but never knew what exactly it was good for....
Ooh, go follow Florence Katharine too, I love her blog!

Weekend Wishlist

01. I'm sure I've spoken before about my want for a pair of coloured jeans and jeans in general actually, and I was reminded of my want when the lovely Hannah wore a pair. So I took to ASOS to search for a pair and came across these beauties. I love red and black, and these are so cool! I'm sure I've seen them around somewhere before, and I want them in my life. And they'd be perfect for A/W!
02. I am completely in love with these. I bet they wouldn't suit me but I do not care. What a gorgeous colour!
03. Even though it's August, I've started looking for a winter coat, because I always leave it too late, and I've found it. I can't actually afford it right now, but I'm determined to have it!
04. I want a Mulberry purse, in fact, I want about 4 different  Mulberry pieces, I want the Alexa and Bayswater in about 3 different colours!
05. As well as looking for a winter coat, I'm looking for winter boots too! I'm praying England is struck by crazy snow again, but if it is, I want some shoes with grip, and these do!

What are you lusting after this week?

Review: Davidoff Cool Water Wave

I've been on the look-out for a new Summery perfume for a few months now, I was determined to find a scent that immediately made me go 'Yes! That's the one. I want to wear this every day!" I sprayed about 30 different perfumes in Boots, I took home countless spray sticks, but I couldn't find one that ticked the box. I almost bought Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh - then didn't because I couldn't stand spending £40 on a perfume, and I'm glad I didn't now. I remember smelling Davidoff Cool Water in a magazine sample when it first came out, and loving it, so when I saw this had been released, I was itching to try it. By a stroke of luck, I found that Boots were selling the 30ml for £10 in a special offer, and snapped it up. It's a gorgeous summery scent that's a perfect smell for me, with great staying power. I find myself sniffing my wrist sporadically throughout the day!
I love the iridescent teardrop shaped bottle, and the shades of blue incorporated into it, it looks clean and fresh.
I don't really understand the 'notes' bit that's described with a perfume, so I got this bit from the Cheap description. All I know is: Top notes are the scents you get when you first spray, heart notes are the ones after a little while, and base notes are the ones that stay on for the rest of the day.

Top Notes: Watermelon, mango, passion fruit and guava.
Heart Notes:  Peony, freesia, and heliotrope.
Base Notes: pink peppercorn, iris wood, sandalwood, amber and musk.

I'll be completely honest with you here, I wouldn't know whether or not the perfume smells like these things, as I have no idea what they smell like usually, I just buy what I think smells good without knowing the ingredients. I can smell pepper in the base notes though, which  I think is a real achievement. Can you always tell the notes in a perfume when you know what they are, or are you as clueless as me?

Anyway, I love this perfume, summery, without being overly sweet and girly, and with great staying power, I definitely recommend it!

PS. I hit 100 followers of GFC last night, thank you!!

July Favourites.

I can't believe it's already August, this year has gone by so fast, mad!

The Body Shop's Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel - Smells like grapefruit sooo much and very awakening on many a groggy morning!
Charles Worthington Hair Healer leave-in conditioner - Really helpful for my dry ends (as a result of too much dye!)
Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Blonde shampoo - If you have blonde hair, I really recommend it, it's brilliant! There's a brunette version - that I've just bought - I hope it's just as good!

Avon Kids Detangling Spray - I know it's for kids, but because my hair's thick and long I get dreadful knots and tangles, and I couldn't find detangling spray anywhere else. This is really good, and so cheap!
Davidoff Cool Water Wave - I plan on doing a post on this, it's gorgeous, so summery!
Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector - Even though the smell leaves a lot to be desired, it does the job!

Blistex Relief Cream - After my post asking for Lip Balm recommendations, this was one that came up quite a few times, and now I know why, it's brilliant!
Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Eyeliner - This is the only liquid eyeliner I've ever used, and I love it!
The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara - I got this free in the August Instyle, and although I usually buy 'Lengthening' mascaras, I love this!

It's my lovely mum's birthday today, so I plan on spending the day shopping and lunching, I hope the weather holds up!! Hope you all have a lovely day, and what are your July Favourites?

Sunday, 31 July 2011

Hello! Yesterday I dyed my hair with Clairol Nice'n'Easy in 116 'Natural Light Brown', and here is the result...

Yaaaaaaaaaay. I really, really like it. I think it suits me, and it's near my natural hair colour, which I wanted. When it was cooking on my hair, it looked black, and I was a little worried, because I can't rock that look, but no, luckily, it's lovely! Well, I think so anyway. What do you think?
PS. If any of you have any make-up colour tips, I'd be what colour eyeshadow/lipstick would go well. I've not had brown hair for over a year and I can't remember what suits me really....

Weekend Wishlist

Weekend Wishlist

01. I saw this gorgeous jumper in Topshop earlier, and now I want it. I know, it's July, but the weather isn't doing what it should!
02. How beautiful is that dress?! At the moment I'm staying away from greeny/blue in case it clashes with my hair, but as I'm dying my hair brunnette later today (eep) it will no longer matter. I shall probably post a picture of it over on my Twitter if anyone is bothered!
03. I'm in want of another sheer, black, long-sleeved shirt, and this is gorgeous, I love the pockets on it.
04. This tan purse is so cute, and look at the little birds! Little embellishments like that steal my heart!
05. The Cath Kidston bracelet is divine, so girly, I love charm bracelets.

Hair Progression.

I know, I know. Another hair post. But I said I would show you the progression of my hair, and I shall do. Now, I've been dying my hair since I was 12, that's 6 years of torture my poor follicles have gone through. (That sounds very rude, doesn't it? Ooh er.) It started off as blonde highlights, and then black - the dreaded Goth stage, complete with emo fringe, heavy eyeliner (including a couple of months wearing bright pink liquid eyeliner - possibly the worst make-up mistake in history!!) and a furious stare whenever I didn't get my own way. I was pretty horrid, but that's irrelevant...From black I went red - didn't work, tried blonde - which went from blonde roots to brown tips in a non-fashionable ombre style (it was so bad - I deleted all proof) and then back to my natural (sort of) light brown. And this is where the pictures begin. Excuse the vanity, and the lolworthyness of the pictures. From the ages of 14-18 (now):
1. 2. 3. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
Look at that orange hair!! Bloody hell, it's bad, isn't it? You can imagine my dismay when I took off the towel, expecting luscious blonde locks and instead had....that. The roots in the 7th picture were the result of a blonde hair dye that I thought would change my entire hair colour, how wrong I was!! I loved that purple colour, but it faded to the colour in the following picture within a month :/ As I said in my last post, red hair can be very annoying. Looking through these pictures, I can't actually tell a significant age difference, despite there being 4 years between the first and last picture. Clearly I shall perpetually look about 14.
Trying to find a favourite colour out of them all, definitely think either the purple or the fourth picture - the latter being the colour I want to be (although that might take a while, I'm dying it 'medium brown' tomorrow.) Which colour do you think works best?
Just noticed, my hair style doesn't change at all through the years really, I don't know what would suit me, so I stay the same!! Would love a new style, but as I say, I have nooo idea what to go for!

Hair Envy

Once again, I find myself lusting after another hair colour. Well, a few in fact. I also want turquoise/lilac/bright purple hair but I'm well aware that getting a job with that colour will be difficult. So my colour of choice is brunette.
I dye my hair quite a lot. I was a redhead (bright, fake red, you know the colour) in April (early followers may remember this,) then I was ginger/bright orange (a bleaching session went oh so wrong,) and now I am blonde. Only, not really blonde, but more gingery/strawberry blonde then the blonde I envisioned  when I was slathering hair dye on my poor, battered hair. You see,  I used to be blonde, about two/three years ago. Very light blonde, and I loved it. For a while. And then I changed my mind and dyed my hair a lovely dark brown the day before my 16th birthday...and then bright red a month after my 17th birthday. A warning to wannabee redheads - it is impossible to remove red hair dye from hair without bleaching or dying it black. I tried three dark blonde dyes, but the red hair remained steadfast, so I bleached it. Twice. And then dyed it three more times over the space of three months to get the colour I am now. How I still have hair I will never know. Ironic really, as I find red hair dye is the quickest fading hair colour I've tried, but when you try and erase it? Impossible. I dyed it purple, it faded back to red within a fortnight. Mad. To those that have had bright red hair and got rid of it, what colour did you go, and how much difficulty did you have getting rid of it?

I am now lusting after dark brown hair. As a natural brunette, I'm very aware that brown hair is much, much easier for me to upkeep, I don't have to worry about doing my roots on such a tight schedule, it will be in much better condition and I know it suits me. (I don't, however, know what make-up suits dark brown hair...but I'm leaving that for a post all of it's own...I know I say that a lot, but I will! If you have any tips, let me know.) So tomorrow I am popping into my local boots and I am buying even more hair dye. I should have shares in both Boots and Clairol's Nice 'N' Easy range, the amount of hair dye I buy!

I am constantly envying celebrity's hair, and the following pictures are women whose hair I especially envy (I'm certain there are grammar mistakes here but I just can't figure them.)

Daisy LoweMarina Diamondis
Lily AllenLeighton Meester
Daisy Lowe, Marina Diamandis, Lily Cooper and Leighton Meester.
(The beautiful Lea Michele was also here, but that made it odd, so I removed her.)

As you can tell, these women have very dark hair, bordering on black. Oh how I wish I could have black hair. Long black hair with a block fringe, yes please. But alas, I have an abnormally small forehead (not my words) and I don't think I can pull off black hair. I had black hair once, but I was 13 and going through my Goth stage and bloody hell, it did not suit me. I wish it did, I so wish, but it doesn't. Which is a shame.
So, within a week, I hope to have luscious brown hair. I can't imagine my hair will end up looking as beautiful as the above women, but I can wish, right?

Whose hair do you envy?

Two new recent purchases, a Body Shop mascara I got free in this month's 'Instyle' and Davidoff Cool Water Wave - which at the moment is selling for £10 in Boots for 30ml - perfect for me as I chop and change with my perfumes. 02. Earlier in the week I tried curling back my fringe as an alternate way of keeping it out of my face. 03. When I was staying with my family, there was a random, fat, ginger cat who would come in and eat all the cat food...despite having a home of his own! He's very pretty though, isn't he? 04. This is the poor cat that he stole the food from. She's 19 and only has 3 legs! ....And refused to let me take a good photo of her, she looked away every time I went near her with the camera. She can be an absolute madam! 05. 'Men I've Loved Before' - the book I've just started, and 'Point of Rescue' - the book I've just finished. Point of Rescue is very good, I recommend it. If you've read it, what did you think? 06. I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 last week (I plan on doing a post on it, I want to know other's opinion's of it!) and we asked for the special round glasses. THEY'RE SO COOL.

I have been watching: The new X Men film - which is really good, Closer - my favourite film, seriously, watch it. Michael McIntyre Live at Wembley - incredibly funny, but not as good as his first DVD. Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 - I love HP so much, distraught that it's over :( RENT - Made me cry, but it took a while to get into the random singing. But once into it, I LOVED it. The Reader - Not as good as the book (it was never going to be) but still worth a watch.
And I'm currently watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. LOVE this film.
I have been reading: Afterwards - Rosamund Lupton - Not as good as her debut Sister, but good nonetheless. On Chesil Beach - Ian McEwan - a re-read, and one of his better books I think. Body Double and Keeper Of The Bride - Tess Gerristen - Not an author I'd read before the two books, very easy to read, as is James Patterson - Jack and Jill. All three last books are crime thriller-y books. There was also 'Point of Rescue' but I already mentioned that one.
Incidentally, I don't usually read that many books, but all but the last book were read when I was away staying with family - I always read a crazy amount of books when I'm there!
Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think. I'm interested in other's opinions of them :)

Best place to sell books?

I spent the morning going through some old books, and quite a few of them are in good enough condition to sell on instead of donating to a charity shop. Is Ebay, Amazon or somewhere else the best place to sell them? I could sell them on my blog, but I don't know how much interest it would generate?
Any ideas anybody has would be recieved very gratefully, having never sold anything before, I have no idea which place is the best.....

Rainbow nails.

Evening! Thought I'd show you my nails today, as I have done something a little bit different with them. I've bought 4 new nail polishes in the past month or so, but not really used them, so I decided to put them all on different fingers and have rainbow nails!

The yellow polish is an older one, but one that I don't think I've ever worn, so I thought I'd add that one!

I can only apologise for my awkward hands, turns out photographing my nails is harder than I first thought! I'd only just applied the polish, hence the little bits of polish that are around my nails.
The Nails Inc 'Copacabana' which  I got free after purchasing Dove deodrant, (an offer which has since stopped unfortunately)  is such a good nail polish, I only had to apply one coat to get a good cover, brilliant.
I'm not sure if you can get the colour normally, if so, I recommend it (if you're okay with spending £11 on a nail varnish, personally, I'm not, but it was free so....)
I like that the colours are all a bit clashy clashy, different to how I usually have them!
