February Favourites

Rimmel Apocalips in 'Nude Eclipse' - I know everyone and their mothers have heard of Rimmel's new range of lip lacquers, and I was quite late joining the bandwagon. I bought the nude shade 'nude eclipse' and I am in love with it. It's a firm favourite!

MUA Palette in 'Starry Night' - I picked this up on a whim after I was getting a bit bored of my Sleek palette, and I love the colours in it so much, they're perfect for me!

MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit - I've wanted Benefit's Brow Zings for ages now, but as a penniless student, I knew buying it was out of the question. So, in steps this beauty. Although the accompanying brush is rubbish, this eyebrow kit is fantastic!

Essie in 'Fiji' - I've been using this almost solidly all month, I love it!

Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner -Too many years of dying and bleaching my hair all the colours under the sun has made the ends of my hair anything buy desirable, so in a quest to fix this, I recently picked this up. It's not a miracle worker, no, but not too thick, smells gorgeous, and leaves my hair softer than before. A winner in my eyes.

Lush Review: Golden Wonders Bath Bomb

Time for another Christmas Lush product to review! A bit late, I know...
When I first picked this up out of the box to use, I wasn't too impressed with it.
A lot of the bath bombs go a orange-y colour, and I presumed this would be the same.
I couldn't smell too much when I first picked it up, although when I put it in the bath the smell of champagne and fruit emanated in the air - not too strong, a nice subtle scent.
And then the colour started! I shall let the pictures do the talking because I can't do it justice, and even the pictures don't do it justice really! I was seriously impressed by the colours, I shall definitely be purchasing this again as soon as it comes out at Christmas.
The stars are soluble so I didn't have to worry about picking them out the bath, and all the glitter was washed away as well, very handy! I felt like a mermaid with the blue water and gold glitter, it's gorgeous!! What do you think of it?

What do you think? x

Review: Topshop's Lip Crayon in 'Secret Party'

How gorgeous is this shade?! I was in Topshop a while ago, and this completely jumped out at me. This is a true bright pink - my favourite shade!
You can't quite see it in the pictures, but in reality there are tiny pink sparkles scattered throughout, which makes this a perfect night-time lip colour! However, I wear it in the daytime, I love bright pink too much to only wear in the night time!

As it is a lip crayon as opposed to a lipstick, it stains quite well and lasts a long time, although there is some transfer to it! It's glossy, not matte, so it doesn't show if you have dry lips, which is a god send for me because the Winter is horrific for my lips!

For the more beady-eyed of my readers, you will notice this is the colour I wore in this make-up of the day post :)

Have you used this crayon before, what do you think? x

Weekend Wishlist: Nude Nails

Nails Wishlist

1 2 3 4 5

I'm absolutely loving nudes at the moment, can you tell? For the past month or so Essie's Fiji and Topshop's Barefoot have been gracing my nails more than anything else. However, I don't have many neutral colours - my polish collection is mostly bright and dark colours. So, I've compiled this wishlist in the hopes that I can make my mind up on what beauties I want! I'm thinking Nails Inc Chester Street and Essie's Chinchilly are definites! I like Ballet Slippers, but it's similar to Fiji....we'll see.

Do you have a perfect nude polish? I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Lush Review: Cinders Bath Bomb

Cinders is a Christmas bath bomb that promises to evoke memories of drinking lovely Christmas punch and mulled wine. Infused with cinnamon and sweet orange oil, this bath bomb smells gorgeous as soon as I picked it up to smell it.

As soon as I put it in the bath, I could hear the popping candy get to work in the water, it was different - and fun - to have popping candy in the bath, although when it hit the porcelain it did sound a bit louder, which made my nervous self jump, ha!

Despite what the pictures suggests, the water does not go a gorgeous a gorgeous swirl of vibrant red and orange, instead, it goes the murky orange colour you can see the picture above. So, if you're buying this bath bomb purely for the water colour, don't. However, if that doesn't particularly bother you, don't let the colour put you off.

It made my skin feel silky smooth, didn't stain me like some bath bombs (I'm looking at you 'Enchanter!') and I smelt gorgeous afterwards.

When Christmas comes back around I shall definitely be repurchasing this, I love it! x

Have you used this before? What did you think?

Weekend Wishlist

Weekend Wishlist

1 2 3 4 5 6

So this weekend's wishlist is Valentine's Day themed. I know a lot of people hate Valentine's Day - I agree it's definitely corporate crap created to swindle money out of people, but at the same time it's an excuse for me to dress up and for my boyfriend & I to treat each other, so I don't mind too much.

What's your opinion on Valentine's Day?

January Favourites

Hello! Sorry I didn't post much last week, life's been a bit hectic! I think it will be for a while, so excuse the sporadic posting!

I've never done one of these posts before, but this month I found myself reaching for newer products this month, so I thought I'd show you!

1. Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk: Anyone who got the massive S&G bundle around Christmas will probably know about this one. I am obsessed with it! I reach for it every time my hands are getting dry, I love it!

2. Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Oil: I've used their Vitamin E range for a while now, but it's only recently I've picked this up. The weather has dried my skin out quite a bit more than usual, so I wanted something extra in my skincare routine - and this works brilliantly.

3. Topshop Lipstick in 'Hazard': This gorgeous dark red is one of my favourite lipsticks at the moment, I love it! I've got quite a few lipsticks from there and I'm never disappointed! This is quite bright for some people, but I adore how intense it is.

4. Revlon Matte Lipstick in 'Pink Pout': Another lipstick I'm raving about! This is the perfect nude for me at the moment, a nice matte rose pink with a slight lilac undertone, gorgeous.

5. Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat: I've been after a new top coat for a while now, and picked this up on a whim last week. It certainly is quick drying - I used this and then went to bed, the annoying imprint from the sheets didn't affect my nails like usual! It makes my nails VERY shiny, which I love. However, it says it stops chipping, and I find my nails are chipping the same amount they usually do, but then I think my nail polish chips incredibly easily anyway, I don't know why! Can anyone shed light on this? It's very annoying.

Have you done a January favourites list? If so, link me! x
