NOTD: Barry M's Gelly Hi Shine Polish in Lychee

Another nude shade today, surprise surprise!
When I first saw Lychee after it was released earlier in the year I was disappointed to say the least. It seemed like a murky beige that would make my nails look boring. However, I saw review after review and after a while the colour started to appeal to me and last week I got it! It's gorgeous, and strangely, reminds me of coffee shops! Anyone know what I mean? Either way, this polish is gorgeous and I LOVE it!

Lush's 'Space Girl' Bath Bomb

Space Girl is a bath bomb I've been meaning to get for a long while now, but only just got round to trying for the first time. The smell is and girly, which is nice, but I couldn't cope with it in big doses ;) The glitter was a nice touch, it was a bit of a trouble to get out of the bath afterwards however. I didn't find the water softened my skin at all, and it didn't leave the water a nice purple like I expected!
All in all, it was a pleasant bath bomb, but not one I'd run out and buy again!

Have you used? What do you think?

NOTD: Models Own Utopia

Utopia is a shade that I've been hearing in the blogging community for as long as I can remember, yet for some reason I've never been that bothered about getting it. However, as my passion for nudes has continued further into the year, this has been beeping on my radar more and more. So, a couple of weeks ago, I finally bit the bullet and bought it...and fell in love! This gorgeous grey/lilac shade is beautiful and perfect for spring!

Have you got this polish? What do you think?

#nottsbbmeet 13th April 2013!

So on Saturday, a whole big group of us met up in Nottingham, organised by the lovely Sophia from tattooedtealady, for a day of shopping and Kiehl's skin consultations! Some of us went to a meal at TGI Friday's and were treated to the biggest goody bags I've ever seen! Being the clever one I am, I completely forgot to take a picture of the goody bags, stupid!

The following pictures were all from the Kiehl's consultation where we were treated to cakes and champagne (or orange juice for me because champagne gives me palpitations!) as well as a lovely skin consultation!
My first ever MAC purchase! I bought the lipstick 'Girl About Town', expect a review soon ;)
After a few hours of shopping, we went to TGI's for food and cocktails! IMG_2291

I had an amazing day, and it was wonderful to finally meet so many girls that I'd been speaking to for so long! It was incredibly well organised and I am so grateful for all the amazing goodies I got!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polish in Blood Orange

Isn't this such a gorgeous colour? One of the newest members of my nail polish collection, this beauty is a gorgeous vivid dark red that is incredibly glossy like all of the Gelly range!
It took 3 thin coats to be opaque - but I'm sure you're all aware of just how tricky red nail polishes can be for opaqueness, so I wasn't surprised by this. It lasted a few days without chipping, nothing spectacular, but for the price of these polishes I didn't expect miracles.

This colour is beautiful. Maybe not the best colour for spring, but I love it and I will wear it regardless!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Honey Douce'

Honey Douce is one of the more subtle colours in Revlon's 'Just Bitten' range. A very pretty rosy pink, I would describe this as a 'my lips but better' shade. It hydrates my lips and gives them a rosy sheen, but doesn't give much pigmentation to them. I was impressed to see that there was no stickiness to this balm, as that is a pet hate, and although it lasted a few hours, it definitely had to be reapplied more frequently than a lipstick would need to be. However, as this is a balm and not a lipstick as such, I'm not disappointed by this.

If I want a subtle look on my lips, this is the first product I reach for, I love it.

Essie 'Luxedo'

Another nail post for you today!

This time it is the turn of the beautiful 'Luxedo' by Essie.
I had my eye on this polish for an awfully long time, but I was trying to stay from Essie polishes because I knew once I started paying a bit more than the usual £5 I spend, I'd get addicted (and I have.)

Luxedo is a beautiful deep, deep purple, that can look almost black in some lights (as it does here.) This is such an interesting polish that I've not seen around, I had to have it!

It takes 3 coats to be opaque and lasts a few days without chipping - as you can see here, this was no freshly applied!

I really like this polish, although it is most certainly more of a winter colour!

Wishlist for #NottsBBMeet!

As some of you will have seen on twitter, there is a #bbloggers meet up in Nottingham on Saturday! I am so bloody excited, I have never been to any kind of bloggers event before!

So, here is my weekend wishlist for Saturday. I am aware I probably won't buy much, so I may not buy all of these!

The last item - Lush's Charity Pot - may be indistinguishable. All you need to know is, it smells like Turkish Delight. I NEED IT.

Are you going to #NottsBBMeet on Saturday? Say hello in the comments! If you've done a wishlist for Saturday, link me to it! x

The Body Shop Almond Body Butter

As I'm sure many of you are aware, The Body Shop has a large range of body butters available, and this is the newest one in my collection.

...And I love it! I suffer from terrible dry skin on my arms and legs (not helped by the ferocious English Winter!) so this is perfect.
It is thicker in consistently than many of the other body butters, and smells divine.
It has certainly helped keep my skin feeling smooth and soft, I plan to keep using it as long as possible!

Have you used any of The Body Shop body butters? What did you think? x

Lush Review: Avobath Bath Ballistic

Sorry for the vast amount of pictures, but I wanted to show you the beauty of this bath ballistic!

Avobath is a citrus bath bomb that is infused with lemongrass and avocado. You can smell the gorgeous lemongrass as soon as you pick it up and pop it in your bath, and the smell lingers on your skin afterwards, making you feel refreshed.
Although this has no glitter or secret colours, it is very softening and turns the water the pretty spring green colour you can see in the pictures.

Because of the skin softening abilities and the smell, I think this may be my all time favourite Lush bath bomb! I love it!

Have you used it? What do you think? x

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Cherry Blossom'

A while ago, Boots had an offer on that meant all Revlon lipsticks, mascaras and nail products were only £5. As you can imagine, I took full advantage of this and purchased quite a few of each! One of which being the lipstick I'm reviewing today.

I love red lipstick, I have loads of them, but this is different to all of the ones in my collection. It is  blue-toned, but also pinker than most of lipsticks. It's a softer colour, I can wear it as a day-time look much easier than I can with many of my other bright, bold reds. It doesn't bleed at all, which is a bonus because that is never a good look, and it lasts quite a few hours without needing to be re-applied.

For £5? A bargain! This is a colour I pick quite a lot, and I think this will be continuing for a while :)
