Weekend Wishlist

Weekend Wishlist

1 2 3 4 5

I know I've not done a weekend wishlist for ages now, but this week I decided I wanted to get back into it. There are so many gorgeous things around at the moment, I want it all! I most certainly wish I had unlimited money!

What have you put on your weekend wishlist this week?

Review: Rimmel Salon Pro in 'Punk Rock'

I really think I am potentially the last blogger to buy a nail polish from this Kate Moss collection! For quite a while, I've been perusing them in Boots but haven't bought any purely because I didn't see how they differed from the myriad of other polish collections around, and quite frankly, I do not need any more nail polish.

But then, I started hearing whisperings of how long they lasted, that unlike some polishes that are more expensive, they last 4 or 5 days before they needed repainting.
I've had good experiences from Kate Moss and Rimmel collections - her matte lipsticks are my current favourites, so I had high hopes when I eventually succumbed and bought my first polish from this collection!

I chose this gorgeous grey/purple called 'Punk Rock'. Not very summery, no, but gorgeous all the same. It was completely opaque in two coats, and has currently lasted 3 days with minimal chip wear. I am very impressed, I shall certainly be adding more to my collection!

Have you used any polishes from this collection? What did you think?

Review: Sinful Colors Nail Polish Enamel in 'Let's Talk'

So, Sinful Colors is a brand that I am pretty sure is new to the U.K, as when I noticed it's new stand in the middle of Boots last month, it was the first I'd either heard or seen of it.
I was immediately intrigued by the wide range of pretty colours, and the price tag of £1.99. I may not have heard of this brand before, but at that price, it would have been rude not to investigate.

So, I picked up two. The gorgeously bright purple that is 'Let's Talk', and a sheer shimmery pink that has a name I cannot remember.

You can't tell from the pictures so much, but this nail polish is a seriously neon purple. It is perfect. Completely opaque in two coats, this polish stayed for a few days without chipping - similar to most polishes I own, so I wasn't disappointed.

Purple is my favourite colour, so another purple nail polish in my collection was unlikely to disappoint, yet I think it has jumped straight to the tops of my favourites, and as a girl with over 100 nail polishes, that is no easy decision!

Has anyone else used Sinful Color polishes? And if so, what did you think? I've got quite a few more in the past week, so expect more reviews! x

MAC Amplified Lipstick in 'Girl About Town'

Another gorgeously bright lipstick for you today, this time in the form of MAC's 'Girl About Town'. I have never bought a MAC lipstick before this one, but I knew straight away that I would want a bright pink lipstick, perfect for Spring and Summer!

This gorgeous lipstick stays on your lips for hours, and isn't at all drying. It's a shiny lipstick, and  although I usually prefer matte lipsticks, I'm loving this.

I'm glad this was my first MAC choice, and shall not be my last!
What's your favourite MAC lipstick?

MOTD: Red Lips

Face:
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation
Natural Collection Powder
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
Real Technics 'High Lights'
Eyes:
Sleek Storm Palette (the pale gold eyeshadow, and the light pink one on top)
Clinique High Impact Mascara
Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner
Lips:
Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Cherry Blossom'
So I thought I'd show you a make-up look I've been wearing a lot recently. I'm not too keen on wearing eyeshadow that's too heavy - especially over S/S, so the gold and pink neutral mixture is just enough for me, teamed with my trusty liquid liner and lashings of mascara!
I've been constantly wearing High Lights since I bought it, a dupe of Benefit's High Beam, and just as good for a fraction of the price. I have never used a highlighter before this, and I'm so glad I chose this one, it's so easy to use and gives such a nice look.
My choice of lipstick changes, but this cute red lipstick was used for these pictures, and is one of my most used lipsticks (I have SO many.)

What do you think?

Disclaimer! I took these photos a while ago - for those wily buggers who can tell my hair's now blue ;) It's still a make-up look I use often, don't worry!
