Review: The Body Shop Chamomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I admit. I am a cleanser floozy. I cannot help it. Every time I see rave reviews of a new cleanser I get excited and have to buy it. I have more cleansers than I know what to do with, always changing my routine every few days trying to dip my fingers in all my proverbial pies. Nuh-uh. Not real pies, I eat them quickly.
However, I tried to resist when everyone started extolling the virtues of cleansing butters. I'm not yet halfway through Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, and thought it wouldn't be fair to up and leave that, as good as it is.
Things don't always work out quite how one would like, as I am sure many of you know. I was perusing The Body Shop, as I often do, and the Chamomile Cleansing Butter kept shouting at me. I tried to resist, I did, but it captured me in its buttery grasp and wouldn't let go. Extraordinary, I know.
Well, I am glad I did not resist. It is beautifully soft, it melts into the skin and emulsifies make-up fantastically, and it isn't too thick either. It even makes the arduous chore of removing Benefit's They're Real mascara/eyeliner easier! (Clearly not as good as the specific TR remover though.)
It would seem, for now, I have a cleanser favourite, and I am staying faithful. I always begin with Benefit's They're Real remover if I have been wearing eyeliner, and then I use this. Every evening. Lovely.
Have you used this? What did you think?
