I've got another cleanser post for you today, and it's a goodie!

Lulu and Boo are a skincare company that provide a wide range of products - skincare, haircare and specialist products for both mothers and babies, as well as for teenage skin. I think you'll agree, that's a lot. And even better, they use entirely organic products, and the majority are registered vegan with the Vegan Society. I'm not vegan, but I've heard from enough people that finding good vegan products is difficult, so this company make it easier!

The Chocolate Orange Cleansing Oil is sumptuous, to say the least. I prefer to use oils to remove my eye makeup as I find they do it a lot more efficiently, so I was excited to try this. I wore a full face of makeup, complete with gel eyeliner, to really get the full idea of how it worked, and went to town with it. Lulu and Boo recommend 3-5 pumps of this, so I went with 4, partly because I think 5 was too much and would have drowned my face in oil. The smell hit me straight away, a beautifully fragrant chocolate orange - it doesn't smell good enough to eat, but it does smell more like a gorgeous perfume. I rubbed it in my face and loved the way it felt, the scent wasn't overbearing which I appreciated. I found it almost entirely removed my makeup - although I did have to rub a little harder to get the residual mascara off my eyes, maybe I should have used 5 pumps after all! I was happy with how it removed my makeup, it came off easily after I'd rubbed in the oil.

I suffer from very oily skin, so I don't use this every day - I find that if I do, my oiliness is exacerbated. However, using it once or twice a week is a real treat for my skin. At £27, it isn't the cheapest cleanser out there, but it's completely organic and vegan, so it's a fantastic product - for me, it's more of a treat than an every day product.

What do you think of Lulu and Boo products?

  1. I've only tried hydrating oils but at college we use oil to cleanse the skin and remove make-up and it works perfectly!
