PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver Shampoo

As some of you may know, I had a bit of a hair change earlier this year.

I was bored of having such an obvious green dip dye so I had it bleached and toned down to this, and I love it so much. The blue is gorgeous and I've decided I should always be blonde!
Of course, with hair such as this, it requires maintenance. So I decided to buy the PRO:VOKE shampoo's in an effort to keep my hair ashy and blonde!

As you can see, it consists of a daily shampoo and a weekly shampoo which is a lot stronger.
I've been using them for just over a month now, and I love them. at £4.19 for 400ml, this shampoo is so affordable, and I'm surprised at how effective they are for such little money. The weekly shampoo is £3.19 for 200ml which is a bit more - but this shampoo has a toning effect which the other does not. I wash my hair every other day and I have over 3/4 of each bottle left which is great! The smell is subtle and lovely, and the only thing I don't love is the tendency for the weekly shampoo to get everywhere - it's a very dark purple so you can tell when it's all over the shower walls!

All in all, I love these products and I would highly recommend them if you're planning on dying your hair blonde!

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour All-Over Miracle Oil

Elizabeth's Arden 8 Hour Cream is a staple in most women's make up kit. Although I am not fortunate to own one myself, I know about the wonders of this miracle cream. So when an email popped in my inbox detailing the beauty of the new Miracle Oil, I knew I had to give it a try.

Oh boy, I'm glad I did. I knew that this oil was meant to be multi-purpose, promising 'a versatile, multi-tasking formula for the face, body and hair' so I tried it on all three places.
I have been suffering with sensitive skin for a few months now, so I wasn't sure how my skin would react to the new product, however I was happily surprised. I applied it to my face every night before bed for a month, and my skin was left soft and felt nourished and refreshed - the gorgeous citrus scent helped too! It claims to reduce redness and irritation, which it definitely did in my case!

I also used it on my hair for a month too, to smooth it down and reduce flyaways - which I get a lot of. It definitely did this, and made the ends of my hair feel super conditioned which was nice, but it did therefore make my hair greasy a little bit quicker...although one should probably expect that if they're putting oil on their hair anyway!

Of course, I used it on my skin too. My hands are horrendous over the Winter period and I often get flare-ups of eczema due to the cold weather and central heating, which is irritating to say the least. So I used the 8 hour oil once a day - at least - I found my skin was in much better shape. I only had one little patch of eczema which is so much better compared to how I usually am over Winter!

Overall I'm incredibly pleased about this oil. At £29, no it isn't the cheapest out there, but with a product like this you definitely get what you pay for. If you can afford it, I recommend it. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and I still have over 3/4 of the bottle left!

Have you tried it? What did you think?

Revlon Volume and Length Magnified Mascara

I had heard lots of things about Revlon's new mascaras, so I thought it was only fair I gave one a go. Out of the five options - nicely colour coded - I decided to go for 'Volume and Length'. I like a good all-rounder so this seemed best for me, and it promised a 'doe-eyed' look which I'm a big fan of!

However, this mascara didn't deliver all the goods I wanted. It definitely had it's pros - at £6.99 (on offer at the moment) this mascara is definitely one of the cheapest I've bought in recent months - my normal go to mascaras are both Benefit, so this is definitely a lot cheaper to what I'm used to. It didn't give me the doe-eyed look I was after though, and it's definitely a more natural, 'day-time' mascara. I like my mascara to make my eyes pop and give massive definition, whereas I didn't feel like this gave me that. Although it's definitely a good mascara to use when I'm wanting a more natural look, it isn't good enough to knock Benefit's Rollerlash off it's top spot in my make-up bag.

Have you used any of the new Revlon mascaras? What do you think?

Februrary Favourites!

I spent most of February bed bound with a nasty bug, so this month's favourites may seem a little sparse!

1. The Wet Brush - I feel like this is the Tangle Teezr's bigger sister. I love this brush so much, I have very long and thick hair and I get so many knots in it, this is the only brush that removes the knots!

2. Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr in On and On Bronze - This gorgeous bronze eyeshadow is my new favourite when I'm not using a palette, it's my new favourite nude!

3. Benefit's Erase Paste - Whenever I'm ill I tend to get SUPER bags, and this heavy duty concealer is amazing at covering up all my blemishes!

4. Bourjois Healthy Balance Matte Powder - I had been looking for a new powder for a while and the Twittersphere recommended this, so I of course picked it up. It's a great powder, expect a review soon!

5. Urban Decay Brow Tamer in Brown - When I don't have time to spend ages on my brows, this is the product I go to. It's a gorgeous product that stays on all day and makes my brows look thicker and neater.
